This has to be one of the best and most original YA novels I have picked up in a while.
Written in a dual perspective we meet Solomon the agoraphobe and Lisa the girl determined to save him. This is not a cheesy romance, (in fact very little romance at all) but a real look at what makes us tick! The worries we have in our life. Solomon is such a rich character, both childlike and worldly wise all in one go…we all deserve a friend like this. I also loved watching Lisa grow, someone so self assured and yet just as fragile. The geeky references were the cheemrry in this cake… I am running out to read all of John’s books!
